It was a bit chilly, so no one was on the Ferris Wheel today.

The light is perhaps the only good thing about this time of year.

Tales of Republican Hypocrisy - Today's Edition

Folks, you can't make this stuff up. Newly-elected GOP House member Andy Harris (R-MD), who campaigned vigorously against the health care program and defeated the incumbent Democrat, is upset because his government health care won't take effect until a month after he takes office.

“This is the only employer I’ve ever worked for where you don’t get coverage the first day you are employed,” his spokeswoman Anna Nix told POLITICO.

One can only assume that these people think we are all idiots and rubes. Perhaps we are.

We are spending more and more time in San Diego. I guess that I finally realize that although I think I have a rural soul, I more or less have an urban mind. It's the same old story told for thousands of years.....
